Make sure your income is stated BEFORE taxes. As an example – if you make $20/hr and you work 40 hours per week, take your hourly wage, in this case $20, and multiply it by 173 to get your pre-tax income of $3460/Month.
Do you have a roommate or Partner contributing to the mortgage/rent? If so, declare your mortgage/rent amount as the percentage you would pay if everyone was paying equally. So, if you have 2 roommates and the rent is $1500, you would declare $1500/3 = $500.
